I suffer from Keratosis Pilaris (KP), a skin condition affectionately referred to as “chicken skin”, see my arms in the top picture. Surprisingly I’m not the only one with this mouth-full to pronounce problem, nearly 40% off all adults worldwide have it too (Medscape). It’s genetic and theirs no getting rid of it. Don’t worry too much because luckily it doesn’t effect your health, unless you count your self-esteem.
My KP is on my arms and it can be very embarrassing, in fact there were years of my life where I avoided short-sleeves or tank tops. I swear even as an adult, if I’m not sporting my spray-tan, someone will say “What’s wrong with your arms”?
BTW – I obviously know that it’s there and “yes”, it does bother me when you ask.
This embarrassing problem of mine has plagued me for decades..which brings me to my only relief, spray tanning. I’ve tried prescription ointments, near anal retentive exfoliating regiments and over the past 3 decades the only thing that works is a tan to help cover it up. With a light spray tan, you can see how it camouflages a lot of the redness!
I’m grateful for my KP because without it I would have never researched spray tanning and never would’ve created BronzedBerry. I’m proud to say that you can finally cover it up guilt free. Our certified organic tanning products and solutions can give you an added confidence boost.
Happy Tanning,
Amie B
